Is there something new you would like to do, and you are so sure you can’t do it that you don’t even try? Remember this: The reason you can’t may be because you don’t. This may seem like a strange statement, but think about it a minute. We can’t always do everything we want to do the first time we try it. You probably don’t remember learning to walk, but trust me, you likely did not just stand up and start walking. You tried and you fell, you tried and you fell; each time maybe going a little farther than the last. And then suddenly, you were walking everywhere – a little unsteadily at first, but stronger every time. Did you learn another language? Did you just open a book and were magically able to read and comprehend it? Probably not – you worked at it and practiced. Maybe it is time to tackle that new thing. Be willing to be a beginner, to not be able to do it perfectly at the start. Persevere, and see where you end up.
