Disappointment happens to everyone; it is hard to avoid. Don’t tell yourself to just ignore it and move on, and don’t wallow in it. Ignoring it won’t make it go away, and wallowing in it won’t make you feel better or change things. Understand that you had some expectations that were not met, and that it’s alright to acknowledge those feelings. And don’t get stuck in the disappointment – move on.
