Love starts with you loving you. Be good to yourself. Cut yourself some slack when you make a mistake. Recognize the difference between a mistake and malicious behavior. Forgive others regardless of which it is, and then forgive yourself as well. Treat others with respect, and treat yourself with the same respect. Be as nice to yourself as you are to anyone else.
