There is nothing about me that makes me immune from the vagaries of life. I try to be a good person, but that is not a get-out-of-jail-free card. The fact is that when something I perceive as bad happens, it does not mean that I am being punished for something. There may be a reason for everything that happens, but that does not mean that it is a reason that I get to know or understand in this lifetime. Rather than look for a reason, I find the the best things I can do are to live in the moment, do the best I can with what I have and what I know, love the people around me and let them love me, and remember that I am enough.
