Share what you want
When someone asks you a question, it is fine to answer them, or not answer them, as you see fit. You don’t need to be nasty; a simple “I’d rather not discuss that, thank you” is a fine answer. If you prefer to answer, that is fine too. And your response is up to you. What and when you share about your personal life is your decision. Just because someone asks does not mean you have to answer. And there is nothing wrong with asking a question, as long as you understand that you may not get an answer. You do not owe anyone answers, and you do not have to explain yourself. Share what you want when you are ready.
