Sit with your feelings

Sit with your feelings – the grief, the pain, the disappointment. Let them wash over you; try to understand them. Ignoring them won’t help you. You may succeed in pushing them away for a while, but they will come back, demanding that you resolve them. When they come back, it will take you longer to deal with them than if you had spent the necessary time when they occurred. You may not be able to do it at the time, but do it as soon as you are able.
